So many things occur in life, both negative and positive, but Thanksgiving is a day to reflect and appreciate all of the good things that have happened to you. It is important to stay afloat even in difficult times, and all of the things that you are thankful for can be the life raft that keeps you afloat.

Did you know that when you smile it increases your happiness? Yes, it is true: a smile spurs a powerful chemical reaction in the brain that can make you feel happier. Not only can smiling help create your own happiness, but it can make other people happy too. Smiles really are contagious. :)
Rechargeπ
When you use your phone for long amounts of time, you are draining its battery. Therefore, after a certain point, it will need to recharge. This is similar to oneβs brain because people need to recharge their brains. A way to do this is by taking breaks. Yes, it is okay to take breaks. :) During these breaks, you can do anything that you enjoy, such as taking a nap, exercising, baking, or watching TV. If you do not take breaks, then you can reach the point of becoming burnt out where you become physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted. Burnout reduces productivity and energy while increasing the feeling of hopelessness and helplessness. This may lead to you feeling like there is nothing else you can do or give. Therefore, it is important to take breaks to recharge. You will end up being happier and more productive.

Find a playlist that you love! A great way to stay focused and take a break is by listening to songs. For me, I find music inspiring. Growing up, my family has always valued and appreciated music. We are the ones that you will find singing and dancing to music in the car, looking silly, but living life to its fullest. During events like birthday parties, baking, or even just sitting outside, my family has playlists playing from the speakers. Music is a great way to spark a positive mood and creativity. In addition, it can motivate people and foster connections/bonds with people around you.
If you do not like a specific song, keep exploring! There are so many different genres of songs.
The Importance of Being Balanced βοΈ
It is extremely important to have balance in your life. A healthy balance can increase your energy, confidence, and happiness. It has the ability to ensure your growth and secure your mental peace and well-being.
In order to place stones on top of each other, they need to be balanced. This means that if there is too much weight on one side, the stack will fall. This is similar to oneβs life because it is important for people to achieve balance. If you are doing too much of something, then that upsets your balance and has negative effects. For example, it is good to partake in physical exercise; however, it is not good to do too much or too little. If you exercise too much or run too fast then that can have serious consequences on your body and brain such as muscle tears, a weakened immune system, and heart damage. On the other hand, exercising too little can lead to heart disease, high blood pressure, weight gain, weakened muscles, and trouble moving. Therefore, it is important to exercise, but in a balanced way where you are not over-exerting yourself.

This past weekend, I was playing in a tennis tournament. Something crazy actually happened: as I was serving I got stung by a bee in the lip. I guess the bee didnβt like my serve π. I stopped my tennis match to take a brief break and ice my lip to prevent it from swelling. I was determined to stay focused and not let this setback affect my mindset and game. I did not let this stop me and I continued to play my match with a smile.
